It's not too late to do a 2011 recap right? Well it is still January, so myself and the BritToid team decided to look back before we move forward into 2012. We picked a whole bunch of categories to discuss and believe me, there are many disagreements along the way... *cough* n0brein - you crazy German. We wanted to make sure that we covered as many areas as possible without going on for hours, which was extremely difficult. The ones we decided on were: Most Pretentious Game It's not all about us though. We want to know what you would pick for the categories above, so either comment here or head to the forums and let's start a fight! Well hello there wonderful Destructoid people. It's that time of week again... BritToid episode 21 is here! After doing our weekly game round up we recap the happenings from last week's Namco vs Capcom fight club, which was also covered by Justice. We then take a look at the growing popularity in TV game adverts, in particular ones that don't just contain game footage. The discussion concludes with the recent events from the Houses of Parliament and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Haters gonna Hate. The music tracks for this week are both by Eternal Tango - The Ghost of Mary Read and Coincidence dies in C. Well hello there fine men and women of Destructoid, I am very pleased to announce episode 20 of BritToid is now available! How exciting! As always we begin by rounding up what we have enjoyed playing this week, which is actually quite varied but there is some conflict around Assassin's Creed Revelations, with some hinting at some of the events in the game but we were sure to steer away from any spoilers. We then take a look at some of the new games announced for the PS Vita, and choose what our ideal first games would be from the list announced last week. The title for this week comes from the next topic we talk about, which is the recent article in the British tabloid newspaper The Sun about Xbox Live hacking. The lovely music tracks for this week are Amon Tobin - Bloodstone and Venetian Snares - Öngyilkos Vasárnap Direct download: Episode_20__Keep_calm_and_dont_stare_at_the_sun.mp3 Category:general -- posted at: 1:37 PM |

Hello and good day Lords and Ladies, I am pleased to announce the latest episode of BritToid! We have said our goodbyes to Miss Hollie Bennett and the team has now welcomed me into their world of crazy. This episode begins with a quick round up of what we've been playing along with a few questions for me on important topics such as zombie apocalypse items and videogame guilty pleasures. As always, the conversation does tend to go off into strange unknown places, but we do aim to talk about the recent trend in videogame music concerts, the GMAs and the BAFTA kid's choice award amongst other ramblings. Make sure you follow BritToid on twitter for updates and get involved with Dtoid EU on the emailer. BritToid is available to download through iTunes and you can also subscribe to us there. So here it is ladies and gentalmen, not only my very last BritToid but also my very last front page post as staff here at Destructoid. As of tomorrow I will be the new Consumer and Community PR for Namco Bandai in the UK. On a quick personal note I would like to say thank you to all of those who showed me love and support when I discovered I was nominated for the Games Media Rising Star award. Sadly I didn't win but I would never have gotten where I am today if it wasn't for the unbelievably amazing community here at Destructoid; It has indeed been an honour that I cannot thank you enough for. I'm going to miss you all like crazy but please make sure you keep up with me on twitter! It was incredibly sad putting together this episode and looking back I only wish I had started BritToid sooner so that I could have helped it grow even more than it has already. I want to thank all of you have listened to BritToid over the last year or more and for all the amazing support we have received; it isn't easy when PodToid is your big brother. Yet fear not, BritToid will indeed continue with the addition of Becca Roberts, Destructoid new European focused PR -- good luck Becca, you are going to need it and don't let Gandy pick on you. First of all let me just say how sorry I am for the naming of this episode and that I personally put all blame on Daniel Carniero -- because I can. BritToid is Destructoid.com's European focused podcast featuring a mix of EU staff and community members discussing the latest gaming news in Europe -- all with a special dash of Destructoid humour. This week we once again take a look at what we have all been playing, say hello to Rumpo as Gandy is off having fun without us. Talk about the closing of another British gaming studio and finish up by picking apart some science. Remember you can follow BritToid on Twitter, subscribe on iTunes or download it directly. look everybody, it is the BritToid gamescom special edition podcast; about time we got around to posting it, don't you think? In this episode the usual crew return to talk about the games we are currently playing, how awesome gamescom is, what games made us super excited and what games disappointed us. I also take the time to say a big thank you to the gamescom team; a mix of community members and staff who I work to death with my imaginary clipboard and whip. Welcome to episode 14 of BritToid - Destructoid's very own euro focused gaming podcast, where every fortnight I try to control the madness and stop Dan Seto and Dan Carniero from spending the whole time arguing. On episode 14 we catch up with what everyone has been playing; Take a look at the winners of the Developer Awards as well as argue over our nominations for the annual Golden Joysticks; We get super excited about the Zelda 25th anniversery concert being announced in London; we discuss fondleing the back of the PSVita following its delayed until Q1 2012, and finish up by discussing the The Sun newspapers headline of Death by Xbox. Remember you can follow us or Twitter, subscribe via iTunes or download it directly. If you want to join the DtoidEU community emailer you can do so by clicking here. At the end of recording every episode we pick a title which is based on some of the dumb stuff we say. While arguing over what to call this episode I discovered the greatest website of all time - Angel does stuff which became the inspiration for this week. On episode 13 the cast once again talk about what games they have been playing -- except I've done nothing but continue to read the Game of Thrones books; We talk about the loss of jobs from Future Publishing who are behind some of the UKs finest gaming magazines. After the break we come back to discuss the massive growth of the UK games market, Capcom Fight Club UK is now a thing that is happening; Games City the UKs first games festival is taking place this year and we finish up by discussing the Harry Potter refugee camp. Remember you can follow us on Twitter; download BritToid directly or via iTunes. Want to get involved with the DtoidEU community? The join the emailer, we are a rather nice bunch!
